Scorpion Vision Software roadmap to 3D Machine Vision

bildeAuto3D is a three years long research project sponsored by the Norwegian Research Council, NFR. The project, started in 2006, aims to develop a cost effective and easy to use technological platform, including 3D data image acquisition, concepts, methods and software, to obtain and use 3D geometry measurements in the production industry.

The results from the project are to be used for automatic robot bin picking and online 3D measurement making it suitable for  100% product inspection. The project consortium consists of Tordivel AS, SINTEF IKT, Kongsberg Automotive AS and Conoptica AS.
