Scorpion User Forum - 5. - 7. November 2003 in Oslo Norway

We invite our user and customers to the first Scorpion User Forum in November 2003 including Scorpion Circus, Vision System Evalaution and a Robot Vision Workshop.

Free Scorpion Circus - 9.00 - 12.00 - 5. November 2003

On the 5. November 2003 we will have a free Scorpion Circus where we demonstrate all the exciting Scorpion features with focus on Robot Vision and Label Inspection. 

Free Vision System Evaluation - 13.00 - 18.00 - 5. November 2003

After lunch we will have an open house where we have several demonstrators in our laboratory. Our skilled vision engineers will also be available for free vision system evaluation based on the customer's own samples.

Robot Vision Workshop - 6. - 7. November 2003

In cooperation with Bosch Rexroth Norway we will invite to our first Robot Vision Workshop in Oslo, Norway.

Day 1 - 9.00 - 17.00 - will introduce the attendees to Non programming Robot Vision with Scorpion including hands-on exercises
Day 2 - 9.00 - 14.00 - will be spent at Bosch Rexroth showing how Scorpion Vision and Bosch Robot work together in a real environment.

Price including dinner on Thursday evening and lunch is 675.00 euro excluding VAT.

Innovative and powerful Robot Vision solutions based on new Scorpion features

We have a growing number of non programming Scorpion Robot Vision solutions running in factories helping people to automate and secure quality. The animation shows a solution implemented in the automotive industry. An ABB Robot presents the inspection objects in front of two camera in six positions. Scorpion is driven by the robot communicating over rs-232. The inspection tasks are detection of minor cracks and small edge defects. With six images Scorpion has obtained the required image quality to implement an reliable solution. The images are captured with firewire cameras from Sony and Imaging Source. The following new features have been important in this solution : The PolyLineEdgeFaults tool and the powerful possibility to drive tools repeatedly and in any sequence with Python Scripts.

Our Superior Standard Camera Support is improved and extended 

We will demonstrate our capability to handle real multi camera and multi vendor firewire solutions. We support out of the box firewire cameras from: Sony, Basler, Unibrain, PixelLINK, Baumer, Logitech, Imaging Source, MicroPix and more. Our primary camera support is based on Microsoft's DirectX. Both hardware and software triggering is supported. 

Using Scorpion the customer can chose camera based on the applications need - starting at 125 euro. We have a long record in deploying cameras from Unibrain, Imaging Source and Sony in advanced Scorpion vision solutions. 

Our advanced toolbox is enhanced with a powerful Texture Matcher

The powerful Texture Matcher, available in the Scorpion Standard version, makes it easy to sort surfaces into different categories based on a set of stored reference images. 

These unique algorithms has successfully been deployed in wood and automotive industries.

Complete Color Vision System starting at 1125 euro

Scorpion Lite solves the many simple vision tasks. It  will in many cases replace photocells and other sensors. Scorpion Lite is designed for production engineers - eliminates the expensive system integrator. 

Scorpion Lite is a complete firewire imaging solution with color support. New Color Matcher and Image Converter tools makes color processing a natural part of Scorpion Lite taking advantage of low cost firewire cameras like the Unibrain Fire-I.
